Welcome to Overbuilt Designs

Overbuilt Designs was founded by Tyler Grandil in 2014. However, Tyler’s love of designing and building was instilled in him at an early age by his dad and grandpa. What began as a humble workshop has grown into a small business, thanks to our unwavering commitment to excellence and our passion for crafting the extraordinary. Since then, Tyler has been proud to involve all four of his children in the business and in doing so continuing the legacy of craftsmanship he has come to love.

Bringing metal and wood to life and turning raw materials into art.

Each project we undertake is a testament to our dedication to precision and quality. From intricate metalwork to custom wood designs, we approach every task with the same level of enthusiasm and expertise.

No two projects are alike, and we understand that. We specialize in custom solutions tailored to your unique needs and preferences. Whether you’re looking for stunning metalwork for your home or durable wood fixtures for your business, we collaborate closely with you to bring your vision to reality.

About Us

Tyler Grandil

His love of fabricating wood and metal goes back to an early age and directly results from a father, brother, and grandfather who did the same. Upon entering junior high school and then high school, Tyler was able to take industrial arts and agricultural mechanics classes, which helped to further his skill base. Since then, he has always had the “give it a try” attitude regarding projects and construction. His experiences range from fundamental construction to metal fabrication and woodworking.

In his spare time, Tyler also enjoys raising custom beef on his small property in Gilbert called Crescent Seven Ranch.

Grandil kids

The Grandil children have always been actively involved in chores and projects around the house. Through these experiences, Tyler has passed along his love for building and doing things yourself. Each child, as they begin high school, are asked to take a welding class to help them continue developing the skills Tyler has begun teaching them.
